Trying out different papers for etegami

I have been exploring the same composition on different types of paper.  Some of these are rough, handmade paper, others are watercolor paper and several are of the gasenshi type used in etegami.  It's fascinating to see how the paper affects what the paints do.  I am using traditional gansai paints.

  1. This is an interesting experiment! What conclusions have you come to? Do you have a favorite among them?

  2. Do you paint first and then add the black outline or outline then paint?

  3. I do the ink outline in black and then add the color. Thanks for your comment. But you could do it either way.
